SURF HOLIDAY
MOROCCO

Where the desert meets the ocean , your perfect surf holiday awaits

Your Dream Surf Holiday in Morocco

Morocco is one of the world's greatest surf holiday destinations , and for good reason. Imagine waking up to the sound of Atlantic waves, eating a traditional Moroccan breakfast on a rooftop terrace with ocean views, then spending the day chasing perfect waves with your personal surf instructor. This is what a surf holiday at Surf Treasure Morocco in Taghazout looks like, every single day.

Why Morocco is the Ultimate Surf Holiday Destination

Morocco offers a unique combination that few surf destinations can match: world-class Atlantic waves, authentic North African culture, stunning landscapes ranging from ocean beaches to Atlas Mountain peaks, incredible food, and genuinely warm and welcoming people. Unlike Bali or Costa Rica, Morocco is a direct 3-hour flight from most European cities, making it perfect for a one or two-week surf holiday without the jetlag.

The Taghazout area , where our surf camp is located , is Morocco's surf capital. With over 15 surf spots within a 30-kilometre radius, from mellow beginner beaches to legendary point breaks like Anchor Point, there's always a perfect wave for your level. The consistent Atlantic swell means surf conditions are reliable almost year-round.

A Typical Day on Your Morocco Surf Holiday

Every morning starts with an optional sunrise yoga session, followed by a hearty traditional Moroccan breakfast on our rooftop terrace , think fresh bread, amlou (almond butter with argan oil), olives, fresh-squeezed orange juice and mint tea. Then Hamza scouts the coast for the best waves of the day, and the surf taxi sets off to the chosen spot.

After two hours of surf lessons on the beach and in the water, you'll enjoy a home-made beach picnic lunch , fresh salads, traditional Moroccan dishes, and fruit. The afternoon brings another two hours of surf guiding, where Hamza is in the water with you, pointing you to the right waves and offering real-time tips.

Late afternoons are yours to relax, go skateboarding, join a yoga class, or simply watch the sunset from the beach. Evenings end with a traditional Moroccan dinner prepared by chef Fatima , tagine, couscous, pastilla, and other local delicacies that will make you fall in love with Moroccan cuisine.

How to Get to Taghazout for Your Surf Holiday

The easiest way to reach our surf camp is to fly into Agadir-Al Massira Airport (AGD). Multiple airlines operate direct flights from Amsterdam (AMS), Brussels (BRU), Paris (CDG), London (LGW/LHR), and other major European cities. Flight time is approximately 3–3.5 hours. Airport transfer to/from Agadir is optional and available on request. Just share your flight details when booking for planning and timing.

How Long Should Your Morocco Surf Holiday Be?

Most of our guests stay for one or two weeks. A one-week surf holiday (7 nights) gives you enough time to really settle in, make significant surf progress, and experience the best of Taghazout and the surrounding area. Two weeks is ideal if you want to mix surf days with cultural excursions like a day trip to Marrakech, Imsouane, or the Atlas Mountains. Shorter stays of 4–5 nights are also possible.
